From the Executive Director

I encourage you to take part in every reception and networking opportunity. The value of these connections cannot be overstated, and the insights you gain from them stand alongside those you’ll find in our workshops and the Expo Hall.
On behalf of the American Jail Association headquarters staff, welcome to Milwaukee and to AJA’s 45th Conference & Jail Expo. Everything you see and experience this week has been thoughtfully planned by the AJA staff and the Planning Committee over the past year.
This conference is a significant undertaking—one that requires vision, coordination, and a relentless attention to detail. Seeing it all come together fills me with tremendous gratitude.
I am deeply appreciative of our staff, who worked with intelligence, dedication, and care to ensure that no detail was overlooked. The efforts of the Planning Committee and our local Host Committee were equally impressive and deserving of praise. I am also grateful for the leadership of AJA President Shaun Kluckznik, MA, CJM, CHHP, whose guidance through many positive changes helped bring AJA to an exciting new high point.
The most rewarding part of this conference, by far, is watching our members and attendees benefit from these collective efforts. We were intentional in crafting memorable experiences for you—from the Welcome Reception at the Harley-Davidson Museum to the Closing Session on Wednesday. I encourage you to take part in every reception and networking opportunity. The value of these connections cannot be overstated, and the insights you gain from them stand alongside those you’ll find in our workshops and the Expo Hall.
Sincerely,
Chris Daniels, MPA, CAE Executive Director
