All About Jails: Inside the AJA Conference & Jail Expo

Over the past year, AJA has continued to deliver high-quality training seminars, leadership academies, and the Jail Executive Institute—all centered on advancing local corrections.

The AJA Conference & Jail Expo in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was a tremendous success. I am pleased to share that we welcomed hundreds of attendees representing some of the finest professionals in local corrections.

This year’s conference was packed with opportunities. From insightful workshops to dynamic networking events—there truly was something for everyone. And if you’ve attended in recent years, you’ve likely noticed—we’ve continued to elevate the experience, and Milwaukee was no exception.

Our Expo Hall once again proved to be a highlight, filled with vendors showcasing innovative products and services designed to enhance the safety, efficiency, and operations of your facilities.

If you attended the conference, you experienced firsthand the diversity of professionals, the breadth of workshop topics, and an Expo Hall full of solutions—but everything had one unifying focus: jails. That’s what makes AJA and our conference so unique and valuable.

Whether you’re flipping through our award-winning magazine or engaging in discussions on iConnect, it’s all about jails. Over the past year, AJA has continued to deliver high-quality training seminars, leadership academies, and the Jail Executive Institute—all centered on advancing local corrections.

AJA has accomplished a great deal this past year, thanks to our dedicated staff and the leadership of our Past President. That leadership helped guide the association forward, strengthening our mission and ensuring we continue to meet the evolving needs of our members.

I also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office, our host agency. Their professionalism, hospitality, and hard work were instrumental in making this year’s conference a success.

Stay engaged with AJA—there’s much more to come.
